Sodegaura Refinery

Fuji Oil Company, Ltd. (FOC), a core company of the AOCHD group, responsible for the refining of crude oil and sale of petroleum products, was established in 1964 with Arabian Oil Co., Ltd., Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. and Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. as its major shareholders. In 1968 it launched its Sodegaura Refinery located at the center of the bustling Sodegaura area industrial complex in Japan's Chiba Prefecture. The Refinery is now a state-of-the-art refinery that has crude oil refining capacity of 143 thousand barrels a day to supply petroleum products to the greater Tokyo metropolitan area as well as produce petrochemical feedstocks.
