As a core company of AOC Holdings group responsible for upstream operations, AOC is engaged in exploration and development of oil & natural gas. AOC discovered Khafji oil field in 1960 in the offshore Neutral Zone (now Divided Zone) between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia under the Concession Agreements concluded with both countries, and since then AOC maintained petroleum operations there for more than 40 years. After the expiration of the Concession Agreements, AOC continued to be engaged in the petroleum operations there under the Technical Services Agreement with Kuwait until January 2008. AOC has also been engaged in the oil & gas exploration and development projects in North America, East Asia and Europe. AOC currently engages in the projects in the Norwegian North Sea and Egypt including the participation in crude oil production operations through its subsidiary in Norway.

As a core company of AOC Holdings group responsible for downstream operations, FOC is engaged in oil refining and sale of petroleum products. FOC was established by AOC, Tokyo Electric Power Company, Sumitomo Chemical Company, etc. Its refinery is located at Sodegaura area in Chiba prefecture alongside the Tokyo Bay (one ward). The refining complex with a crude distillation capacity of 143 thousand B/D came on stream in 1968 and has been supplying a wide range of petroleum products mainly in the Greater Tokyo metropolitan area as well as producing petrochemical feedstocks.
Petro Progress Inc. (PPT)

Trading and Transportation of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products

PPT was established by AOC and FOC on a 50-50 basis and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of FOC. It is engaged in purchasing, marketing and transportation of crude oil and petroleum products in Southeast Asia through its wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in Singapore.
Japan Oil Engineering Company, Ltd. (JOE)

JOE was established to provide primarily facility maintenance services for FOC's refinery and technical services for AOC's production facilities. JOE conducts its business activities for their wide range of customers such as domestic and overseas oil companies, governmental organizations in Japan and financial institutions in addition to AOC and FOC.
